‘Bond 25’ Get Full Casting Announcement, But Still Doesn’t Have a Name

We’ll have to wait a little longer to learn what the actual title of the next James Bond movie is, but at least we finally have a better idea of who we will see in the film that is currently known simply as Bond 25.

In a special announcement by producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, along with director Cary Joji Fukanaga, the full cast of the upcoming spy thriller was revealed to the public.

It was already known that Daniel Craig had been convinced to return as the iconic British spy for the fifth and final time. Joining him will be recent Oscar winner Rami Malek (Best Actor for playing Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody), playing the film’s main villain.

Lea Seydoux and Ben Whishaw will be returning to the series as Dr. Madelaine Swann and Q, respectively. Ralph Fiennes and Naomie Harris will reprise their roles as M and Miss Moneypeny, as well. Jeffrey Wright and Rory Kinnear also return in their roles from Spectre.

Newcomers to the Bond franchise include Ana de Armas (Blade Runner 2049), Billy Magnussen (Game Night), Dali Benssalah, Lashana Lynch (Captain Marvel) and David Dencik (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy), although not much is known about what roles they will specifically play.

Bond 25 might not have an announced title yet, but there are some details about the movie available.

It was revealed that the movie begins with Bond enjoying a retired life in Jamaica, having left active duty for MI6. When his old CIA friend Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright) shows up in need of help, a simple mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns into something much bigger, as Bond attempts to stop a cunning villain armed with a frightening new technology.

The movie, whatever it ends up being called, is scheduled for a released in early April 2020.
