Marvel has changed the release date for Avengers: Infinity War but unlike pretty much other entertainment release, that date has been moved forward, not pushed back.

The announcement was made on Twitter that Infinity War will now be released on April 27, one week earlier than the previous date of May 4. Marvel Studios made the announcement as part of a (totally planned) exchange with Robert Downey, Jr and even put out a new poster highlighting the change in date.

Marvel Studios had previously tweeted out about the film debuting on May 4, prompting Downey Jr to chime in, asking if it could be earlier. Surprisingly, Marvel accommodated him and confirmed that the film will be released on April 27 instead.

Evidently, Marvel is in a charitable mood today, so maybe they’ll release Infinity War tomorrow if you get on Twitter right now and ask them nicely.
