Bradley Cooper has come a long way since his days on the television series “Alias.” He has gone from being just a supporting actor to one of Hollywood’s hottest leading men. So far, he’s received three consecutive Oscar nominations for his performances in “Silver Linings Playbook,” “American Hustle” and “American Sniper” and he’s been named People’s Sexiest Man Alive. It is hard not to be crazy about him. He’s really hot and he’s also pretty deep and complex. There’s so much ahead for him in terms of his career. Bradley Cooper lives with his mom. After his father died back in 2011, his mother moved in with him. For some people, this might be a little awkward, but it isn’t for him. “She’s a cool chick,” Cooper told Details magazine. “We can hang. And she can roll with the punches. If that wasn’t the case, there’s no way.”
He’s fluent in French. While he was an undergraduate at Georgetown, he began studying the romantic language. During college, he spent six months as an exchange student in Aix-en-Provence, France, where he honed his French-speaking skills.
While he was completing his MFA in acting at the Actors Studio Drama School in New York City, he worked as a doorman at Morgan’s Hotel.
In his late 20s, he used to drink heavily and use drugs; however, he gave it all up when he was 29 and he has been sober ever since.
Cooper grew up in comfort. He was father was a stockbroker at Merrill Lynch and his mother worked for the local NBC affiliate.
Growing up, he wasn’t especially confident. His lack of confidence manifested itself when he played sports. When he played high school basketball, he was never the one to get the ball and take the shot because he was too nervous. This began to change in college.
He loves motorcycles. He has five of his own.
The Oscar-nominated actor was arrested when he was 15-years-old for underage drinking.
Soon after birth, his parents discovered that he had cholesteatoma, a growth in the middle ear that can cause deafness. “Then I started diving very young, and I punctured it and had four or five operations from 5 to 18 years old,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “I have a hole in my eardrum now and can’t swim without earplugs.”
Bradley Cooper wasn’t always confident when it came to his looks. “I was pretty as a child and I felt that I wasn’t very manly and that plagued me for years. Not good-looking, but pretty in the wrong ways,” he told W magazine. “In my mind I looked like a girl.”
