The downward spiral of Tony Hawk games continues.

Activision has announced that last-gen versions of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5, originally scheduled for release on November 13, 2015, will be indefinitely delayed. In a statement to Eurogamer, the publisher admitted that due to the poor reception of the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game, they will instead be doubling down “on fixes and content updates for PS4 and Xbox One.”

The statement reads:

“We are working closely with our developers to address the issues identified by our community. Our development resources are fully focused on fixes and content updates for PS4 and Xbox One, so we have decided to delay the release of THPS5 on PS3 and X360. We will update the community when we have more specific information about a release date for PS3 and Xbox 360.”

While it’s nice to see Activision take ownership of the shoddy state of one of its products, by pretty much all accounts, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 is beyond repair. The better thing to do would probably be to just cancel the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions altogether and save more customers from making the mistake of purchasing such a crummy product.
