Many of us have fond memories of playing GoldenEye 64, but the truth is that it hasn’t aged as gracefully as some other games of its era. The graphics are beyond dated and even the gameplay doesn’t hold up very well, as it’s almost impossible to go back to playing first-person shooters with a single analog stick. However, everyone knows that GoldenEye’s music was incredible and has surely stood the test of time, right?
While the soundtrack is indeed still one of the best in gaming, the Nintendo 64 is somewhat infamous for its poor audio quality, as it lacked a dedicated sound card. Thankfully, the Youtube channel Video Game Tracks has released an uncompressed version of Grant Kirkhope’s entire GoldenEye soundtrack and it is truly a glorious listen.
