Square Enix has confirmed that they are working on a remastered version of Final Fantasy XII, which was originally released in 2006 for the PS2. The full title of the remastered edition is Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age and it will be available sometime in 2017.
This news comes by way of Famitsu, which reports that The Zodiac Age will feature revamped character models and cutscenes, as well as a new auto-save feature, shorter load times, and an improved turbo mode. The game’s score has also been re-recorded, but the original soundtrack will still be featured for purists.
Currently, the game is only slated for release on PS4.
