Sources: The Nintendo Switch’s Battery Life Is Shockingly Bad

One of the biggest unanswered questions following the reveal of the Nintendo Switch yesterday was what kind of battery life the console’s portable screen would have. Thanks to a new report from games journalist Laura Dale, it would appear that the Switch’s battery life is a disappointing three hours at maximum.

Dale also cites sources that claim that the Dock does improve system performance, as some have theorized, and perhaps more interestingly, that the screen is touch enables. Of course, it’s important to remember that this is not the official word, as Nintendo has not yet revealed these details.

Additionally, those hoping to get their hands on the Switch and give it a try before its March 2017 debut may find themselves waiting a while, as Dale is confident that it won’t be playable at public events until Jan 2017 at the earliest.
