‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ Has Officially Been Delayed Out Of 2017

Rockstar Games

Rockstar Games has confirmed on its official site that Red Dead Redemption 2 has been delayed.

The sequel to 2010’s award-winning open-world Western game — originally slated to launch this Fall — will now launch in Spring 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. According to Rockstar’s statement, Red Dead Redemption 2 is the “first Rockstar game created from the ground up for the latest generation of console hardware, and some extra time is necessary to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible for our fans.

“We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready. We are really excited to bring you more details about the game this summer.”

While Rockstar provided no further details on the game besides confirmation that the game isn’t coming to PC (at least, not right away) the company did release a number of new screenshots.

On the bright side, at least we all knew this was going to happen anyway.
