Nintendo Reveals The Mini-NES

While we won’t be getting the NX until sometime in 2017, Nintendo has come up with something that might tide you over until then, as they announced the NES Classic Edition, a tiny version of the original Nintendo Entertainment System, which will be available everywhere November 11th. It comes pre-loaded with 30 games, all the cables you’ll need to hook it up to your fancy new HD televisions, and a controller that Nintendo says is “patterned after the iconic design of the original NES controller”, presumably in all its tiny, two-button glory. The system is expected to retail for $60.

In case you’re still interested, here’s the 30 games you’ll get with the Mini-NES:

Balloon Fight
Bubble Bobble
Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest
Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong Jr.
Double Dragon II: The Revenge
Dr. Mario
Final Fantasy
Ghosts ‘n’ Goblins
Ice Climber
Kid Icarus
Kirby’s Adventure
Mario Bros.
Mega Man 2
Ninja Gaiden
Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream
Super C
Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario Bros. 2
Super Mario Bros. 3
Tecmo Bowl
The Legend of Zelda
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

All those classic games, for the price of a single current generation game? That might be the best value in gaming right now. Now, how about a Mini-SNES, Nintendo?
