New Video Confirms The PS4 Slim Is Real

Following earlier rumors that Sony has created a slimmer version of its PlayStation 4 console, Eurogamer has not only confirmed that the redesigned console is real, but have posted video of the ‘PS4 Slim’ in action.

Digital Foundry editor Richard Leadbetter visited the person who claimed to have purchased the console off an auction site and then proceed to post pictures of it online. In the video, Leadbetter shows the thinner console with rounded edges hooked up to a television and booting up to the PS4 dashboard.

Eurogamer says it will have more details on the PS4 Slim later this week, but in the meantime, high quality closeups of the console can be found on their site.

The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this morning that a redesigned PS4 model is on the way alongside a long-rumored, more powerful PlayStation 4, codenamed Neo. While Sony has neither confirmed the PS4 Slim’s existence or discussed what their plans are for the upcoming PlayStation event in New York on Sept. 7, it is widely expected that both PS4 models will be unveiled there.
