A lawsuit filed by infamous actress Lindsay Lohan alleging that her likeness was used both in-game and in promotional materials for the obscenely popular 2013 video game Grand Theft Auto V will go forward, after a motion to dismiss was denied by a New York judge. Lohan claims that the character of Lacey Jonas is essentially her, and wants compensation as a result. Take-Two Interactive, the developers of the game, has claimed that Lohan is only using the lawsuit to garner publicity for herself, and that the Jonas character only shares some visual characteristics of Lohan (or any number of other young, blonde actresses). And while we may not be lawyers ourselves, we’re pretty sure that this case should almost certainly fall under the laws protecting parody and satirical content.

While we’d like to believe that it’s inevitable that this clearly frivolous lawsuit will fail if it ever reaches an actual court decision, things might not be as cut and dried as first believed, so stay tuned!
