Blizzard Reportedly Will Announce ‘StarCraft HD’ This Fall

According to a trusted industry source, Blizzard Entertainment, the company which between their WarCraft, Diablo, StarCraft, Hearthstone, and now Overwatch franchises probably has a large portion of your money by now, is expected to announce the upcoming release of Starcraft HD in September, likely at the conclusion of the StarCraft II World Championship Series in Mexico. While absolutely nothing has been confirmed by Blizzard (and likely won’t be until the rumored announcement), the report says that the game will be a remastered version of the original game, with a new UI and possibly some other graphical improvements. Here’s the report from the source, a well-known Korean online newspaper:

“Today, multiple sources with knowledge of Blizzard internal plans said that Blizzard will reveal StarCraft HD to the public this September. The StarCraft HD remastered version will retain the original gameplay and is said to have improved graphics resolution and user interface (UI).”

It’s a revenue source so obvious in this age of HD remasters, we’re surprised Blizzard didn’t think of it sooner, but would you pick up an HD edition of the original StarCraft?
