This week on Smackdown Live, The Wyatt Family looks to get their hands back on the Tag Team Titles, and Baron Corbin attempts to prove he belongs in the main event, as he takes on John Cena. Plus, with only one member of the blue brand currently entered in the Royal Rumble, we could definitely see some more Superstars throw their hat into the ring! Here are all the results from this week’s episode of Smackdown Live!

Live from Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Dean Ambrose started off the evening with the Intercontinental Title in tow, for another episode of the Ambrose Asylum. Ambrose officially entered himself in the Royal Rumble, then introduced his guest, the former champion, The Miz. Miz also announced his entrance in the Rumble, then claimed Ambrose stole the title from him because the match should have ended in a DQ when Maryse slapped Ambrose. Miz threatened legal action, but gave Ambrose a chance to hand over the title instead. Instead, Ambrose gives Miz back his Participation Award and a nice round of applause for trying. Miz was not amused, so he threw the award in Ambrose’s face and attacked him. He tried to set Ambrose up for a slap from Maryse, but Dean wiggled free, Maryse slapped Miz instead, and Ambrose planted him with Dirty Deeds.

Backstage, Natalya ambushed Nikki immediately before their match. As a result, Nikki attacked Natalya before the bell, and they brawled around the ring. Eventually, they were separated by referees, but not before Natalya aggravated Nikki’s knee injury and locked her in the Sharpshooter.

– Kalisto d. Dolph Ziggler (pinfall, Crucifix Pin)

A frustrated Ziggler destroyed Kalisto with a clothesline after the pin, then attacked him with a chair. Apollo Crews eventually made the save, but Ziggler hit him with the chair as well.

Backstage, Grumpy Old Man John Cena continued to rage against the New Era, and Baron Corbin specifically.

– American Alpha d. The Wyatt Family (Orton and Wyatt) to retain the Smackdown Tag Team Titles (Gable pinned Orton, O’Connor Roll)

Orton accidentally knocked Luke Harper off the apron during a distraction attempt. When Harper climbed back up to complain, Gable drove Orton into Harper, getting the pin as a result. After the match, Bray Wyatt tried to separate the arguing Orton and Harper, but Harper accidentally Superkicked Wyatt. An incensed Wyatt stared down both men and left the ring.

Backstage, Becky Lynch and Daniel Bryan confronted Alexa Bliss over the identity of La Luchadora. Alexa claimed she had been trying to find that out herself, but Bryan said that since Becky had technically beaten Alexa, she would get another shot at the Women’s Title. Bryan also made it a Steel Cage Match to prevent interference.

– Carmella d. CJ Lunde (submission, Code of Silence)

– John Cena d. Baron Corbin (pinfall, AA)
