It should be no surprise that a career full of death-defying stunts hasn’t exactly been great for current Raw GM Mick Foley’s long-term health. Although Foley recently celebrated dropping over a hundred pounds in 2016, an incredible accomplishment worth praising, other parts of his body reportedly haven’t been faring so well. According to the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer, Foley is expected to take some time off in early 2017 to have much-needed hip replacement surgery, which would obviously also include some lengthy recovery time for the 51-year-old. There is currently no word on when or how WWE will take Foley off TV, but it would be something to pay attention to in the coming weeks on Raw.
Meltzer also mentioned that Foley was originally not scheduled to appear at Roadblock, as he had requested time off due to the physical stress of being on the road, but the company called him in on short notice, as he was in the Pittsburgh area anyway.
