The planned Han Solo spinoff just got some serious star power.

In a casting move that had previously been rumored, the directors of the upcoming Star Wars stand-alone movie about a young Han Solo just officially announced that Academy Award nominated actor Woody Harrelson will appear in the film.

“We couldn’t be more excited to work with an artist with as much depth and range as Woody,” directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller said in a statement on Starwars.com. “His ability to find both humor and pathos, often in the same role, is truly unique. He is also very good at ping pong.”

His exact role or character hasn’t been confirmed yet, although there are whispers that he will be playing somewhat of a mentor to Han, who will be played by Alden Ehrenreich in the film. Donald Glover will also star as a young Lando Calrissian.

The still-untitled Star Wars film is scheduled for release sometime in 2018, although the exact release month is possibly still up in the air. It was originally scheduled for May, but may have recently been pushed back to December.
