It’s official… Lethal Weapon 5 is in the works, and Mel Gibson, Danny Glover, and director Dick Donner are all on board.

During a recent roundtable discussion with The Hollywood Reporter, veteran Lethal Weapon producer Dan Lin – who was there to promote The Two Popes – let it slip that Gibson, Glover, and Donner had all agreed to return were eager to get started on the fifth installment of the iconic buddy cop franchise.

We’re trying to make the last Lethal Weapon movie. And Dick Donner’s coming back. The original cast is coming back. And it’s just amazing. The story itself is very personal to him. Mel and Danny are ready to go, so it’s about the script.
