After months of wondering whether or not Disney would ever bother to release a trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story, the Super Bowl gave us a forty-five second look. Unfortunately, that wasn’t a lot of time to get a proper gauge on what this movie’s trying to do, especially since Alden Ehrenreich’s young Han Solo was barely even in it.

Well, now we have the full trailer to look at and it thankfully puts Ehrenreich front and center as everyone’s favorite scoundrel. And he’s fine, I guess? He’s got the look, for sure, but Harrison Ford is still so tied to this character that it’s hard not to see Ehrenreich as an impostor. Who knows though? He may end up blowing us all away.

Personally, I like the look of this trailer, but I’m still not on board with the entire concept of this movie. It still feels like a needless cash-in and even though I like Ron Howard as a director, I’d still rather see the crazy movie Phil Lord and Chris Miller were working on before they got ousted last year. But hey, at least Donald Glover looks like a badass Lando!

What do you guys think of the trailer? Are you looking forward to Solo now or more convinced than ever that this thing never needed to happen? Sound off in the comments below!
