Joker has arrived and he’s ready to steal the show!

After months of waiting, Joker has officially joined the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster. This is the first character Nintendo has added to the playable roster since Piranha Plant joined back in February.

For those less familiar with the character, Joker is from the popular RPG Persona 5, a game developed by Atlus and the sixth installment in the Persona series. Joker is a second-year high school student who is forced to move in with a family friend after being expelled due to a false accusation of assault. Shortly after being transferred to a new school, Joker and few of his new classmates awaken to a supernatural power known as Persona.

In addition to Joker, Nintendo 3.0 update also includes a stage based on Mementos from Persona 5, new music, and a stage builder, video editor, and support for the Smash World mobile app, which is free.
